After the Central government rescinded the farm laws which caused much agitation and anger within the farmers, some union leaders are still deciding to conduct a tractor march to parliament on Sunday. The Winter Session will start on November 29 and end on December 23. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) had decided way back in November to conduct a rally to mark the one-year of the protests against the farm laws. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that these farm laws will be rescinded but the farm unions still want to conduct the rally and continue their protest till the government issues a statement saying that annulment of the Electricity Amendment Bill and a guarantee of Minimum Support Price(MSP).

Darshan Pal, a farm leader, mentioned in his statement that the final decision will be taken at a meeting on Sunday at Singhu Border and till then their call for a tractor march still stands. The President of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ugrahan), Joginder Singh Ugrahan, said that the tractor rally has not been withdrawn yet. He also stated that SKM will take the decision on Sunday while interacting with the media on the Tikri border.
Harnam Singh Verma who is the Vice-president of the Uttar Pradesh unit of BKU mentioned the other issues concerning the farmers which include the promise by the ruling party made to the sugarcane farmers of paying them within 14 days. However, in the last four years, the price of sugarcane has barely increased by Rs 25. The farmers are concerned about when the MSP law will be implemented which results in the continuation of the protest against the government. They hope Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fulfill all the promises he made to the farmers before he got elected. The protesters will stay put on the borders of Delhi until the farm laws are repealed.
