According to the sources, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is all set out to meet Sharad Pawar tomorrow. A tantalizing power icon from Nationalist Congress Party in Mumbai. Her personal visit to Pawar’s residence “Silver Oak” in Mumbai has come out as quite a collision. This statement was confirmed by NCP National Spokesperson and Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik. It is a philanthropic visit on goodwill and the information will be available to the public. On coming Tuesday, she will meet all the potential entrepreneurs to invest in her state and also extend an invitation to the upcoming Bengal Global Business Summit in April 2022. Pawar was all ready to set out a campaign for Banerjee last April which met a dead end due to certain complications. With her having an audience with Pawar means a power fusion between TMC and National Congress Party against BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. This seems like a planned-out vision to end the stranded relations between the old party and the winning party.
TMC in National Expansion Mode, Gives Mamata Veto Power
It is a perfect opportunity for the TMC to spread out its wings beyond the boundaries of West Bengal. “TMC is expanding outside Bengal and it’s the right of every political party. However, we believe that a united Opposition front is not possible excluding Congress. Pawar Sahab has clarified this several times,” said Malik, the minister in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of Mumbai, the result of the 2019 Maharashtra political crisis.
While she is at it, she would not meet Mumbai’s CM Uddhav Thackeray who is currently admitted to the hospital due to spinal surgery. TMC had quite a good relationship with the Thackrey whose door she knocked regarding Congress ailments. Yet, she refused to meet Thackeray in such a time of crisis. Does this mean a constriction in their harmony?
