Maharashtra is trying hard to adapt to the new normal after the damage done by the COVID. As a result, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has decided to conduct offline exams of HSC from March, 4 to April, 7 next year. Talking about the SSC exams, they will also conduct in offline mode from March 15 to April 18 of the next year. The question that appears will be set keeping in mind the syllabus that was reduced by 25% due to COVID-19. Talking about the internal assessment, including the viva and practical exams, they will commence on February 14 for HSC and will go on till March 3. The viva and practical exams for SSC will be held from February 25 to March 14, 2022.

As per the State Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, the results will most likely be declared by the second week of June for the HSC exams and by the second week of July for the SSC exams. Due to COVID-19, the exams of earlier batches couldn’t be held efficiently. However, as we are approaching the new normal, Maharashtra has decided to go with the earlier offline mode of exams. However, with a reduced syllabus. But, now more and more students are coming forward on Twitter protesting the decision for offline exams. They are saying that many teachers are completing one chapter in a day. This has made them unable to prepare efficiently for offline exams. Students have also complained about COVID protocols not being followed in schools. They are complaining that it is very difficult for them to appear for the offline exams based on online classes.
