Amway, which sells directly to its consumers, has put India in one of its leading three prerogative markets worldwide, along with the United States and China. Milind Pant who is the global CEO of Amway asserted” In terms of sales, India is in the top 10, and in aspects of long-term investments and growth, it is among the top three, along with the US and China.” The firm has factories in these three markets and a substantial portion of its $300-million global investment will get to India. He also explained, “We are investing in manufacturing, in product development, organic farming, social media, and marketing.” Amway had declared an investment of over $20 million (Rs 170 crore) to stimulate research and development, manufacturing industrialization, creation & science, and boost digital abilities in India. It is significant to India that Amway’s foray into the Ayurveda segment with its Nutrilite brand. Amway, which forayed into Ayurveda with a Nutrilite chyawanprash initially this year, has planned to put in more products to make its Ayurveda range the main element of its wellness range.

He added, “We plan to provide holistic wellness solutions and we want to utilize Ayurveda and Charak Samhita’s knowledge and incorporate it with the power of science and botanicals, so there will be many more products that will be launched in the future.” For Amway, Ayurveda is a “long-term journey” and the business will “invest in organic farming partnerships, botanicals and alliances” with the help of top universities (it has lately joined with IIT Mumbai).
