An elderly gentleman who received a Ph.D. diploma has confirmed that one’s age will not be a hindrance to further education. Thangappan, a resident of Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari area who earned his doctorate at the age of 73, is profiled in this article. Originally from the Thirparappu area of the Kanyakumari region, Thangappan worked as a trainer and headmaster at Devasam Board School for many years. Despite this, he has continued to cultivate cashews on his family’s land, 15 years after he officially retired from the workforce.
