The Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up its preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, which will be conducted early next year. In light of this, the BJP will hold six large yatras across the state. On December 7, the first Yatra will begin. The group will visit Awadh, Kashi, Gorakhpur, Brij, Western UP, and Bundelkhand during these six yatras. The BJP will mobilize its volunteers for the election while also enlightening everyone about the present government’s development and welfare programs.
In a meeting attended by top leaders such as Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, key members of the party’s election panel for the state, Adityanath stated that the party has embarked on similar electioneering journeys ahead of the 2017 state elections. “The difference is that the last yatra was to expose the previous administration, but this yatra would be to inform the cadres about our accomplishments and to seek people’s blessings,” Adityanath said at the party headquarters in Lucknow.
Keeping the poll pot boiling, the BJP state unit has called an election strategy meeting on Thursday
Vidya Sagar Sonkar, a Dalit leader in the party, will coordinate the yatras. They will most likely begin at six distinct locations, one from each of the six organizational zones, and conclude in Lucknow with a rally by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to opposition parties, the yatras may assist the BJP comprehend the hardships people are enduring as a result of their government’s policies.
In particular, they admire these Yatras as they help BJP and its leaders understand people’s moods, endemic corruption at the local level, and growing dissatisfaction with price increases. They pray that these Yatras will pass through areas like Hatras and Rakinpurkeri, where the ruling party and its ruthless leaders have committed horrific crimes against the poor, Dalits, and peasants.
