Gaurav Taneja – Early life
He was born on the 9th of July, 1986 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. From flying high in the air as a pilot to soaring heights as Rashbhari k papa, his journey has been an exceptional flight.
Born to a banker, Yogendra Kumar Taneja and a teacher, Bharti Taneja, he has certainly bequeathed their knowledge and creativity. He had completed his schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Gaurav always had an inclination towards sports as a child. He is also an IIT(Indian Institute of Technology), Kharagpur alumni. Gaurav Taneja pursued a degree in Bachelors of Technology from the institution in the year 2004. He is also an alumni of CAE Madrid, a flight school in Madrid, Spain. He gained training in the A320 type rating from this institution in 2011. On the 5th of February, 2015 he tied the knot with Ritu Rathee(Pilot by profession) and the couple welcomed their little bundle of joy, Ras Bhari aka Kaira on the 18th of May 2018.

Life as a Pilot
After completing his course in Madrid his first job was as a pilot was for IndiGo airlines, as a first officer. He got a promotion to the position of captain in 2014 in the same airline company.

Flying Beast: He is also quite popular by this name. In this YouTube channel, he uploads his personal experience related to travelling along with his wife. Along with his travel diaries, he also shares bits and pieces of his personal life and some fun videos that he shoots along with his family. He started this channel on the 1st of December, 2017. Fit Muscle TV: His physic very well portrays his craze for fitness. Right from his college days, he had an interest in bodybuilding. And he boasts of experience of more than 13 years in this field. His aim in opening this channel is to impart knowledge regarding fitness to the masses. He posts videos related to diet, supplementation, training, gear and other fitness-related stuff. He started this channel on the 30th of November, 2016. His most popular video on this channel is “He fainted in the gym while doing shoulder press” with 6.4 million views. Rashbhari ke papa: This is the latest channel, initiated on the 8th of July 2020. This channel has a strength of 1.29 million subscribers. He shares entertaining content here.

Controversy
In the year 2020, the famous content creator was surrounded by a controversial situation. He was suspended from AirAsia airlines and took the aid of social media to amplify his voice and concerns. He raised an issue regarding the indifferent nature of the airlines in concern to the safety of both the passengers and the airline crew. On June 14, 2020, there was a tweet explaining his suspension because of raising a voice against the carelessness of the airline company regarding safety norms. And on June 15, 2020, he posted a YouTube video to explain the ends of the situation in a more detailed manner. The video was titled “Reasons behind suspension from my pilot job.”
An allegation raised on Gaurav Taneja
The allegation made in the video was that the airline company has compelled its pilots to do 98% of its landings in Flap 3 mode. This landing procedure helps to cut down the fuel prices and on the other hand, is not safe. Flaps are located in the wings of an aircraft and they are used to create a drag in the landing or take-off of the flight. The terminated pilot has also stated that if any pilot working for the airline fails to complete the given target, the company regards it as a violation of its SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
This attitude of the airline company compels the pilots to operate under their way of working, without giving a second thought about the safety of the passengers. He further claimed that if Godforbid something went wrong, the pilots would ultimately be blamed. Another issue raised by him was in regard to the leave-taking policies of the company. He alleged that the company did not allow sick leaves even if the pilots were significantly sick, thus adding to the risk of lives and safety.
After a brief period, it became apparent that the flying beast had justifiable reasons for raising some complaints. The DGCA(Directorate General of Civil Aviation), had taken matters into his own hands after the video stormed the Internet. Two top executives of the company, Head of Operations- Manish Uppal and Head of Flight safety- Mukesh Nema also had to face termination for a period of three months, following the fued by the DGCA
