The newly inaugurated Ahmedabad franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is expected to sign up the amazing Indian team coach Ravi Shastri, Bharat Arun, and R Sridhar for the coaching roles lucrative tournament which is expected to be conducted in 2022. All the three coaches of the Indian cricket team – Shastri, Arun, and Sridhar will finish their assignment as coaches after the completion of the ongoing T20 World Cup that is being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). BCCI has already announced that Rahul Dravid is the successor of Ravi Shastri.
A report published on Cricbuzz informed that the Ahmedabad franchise has offered the position of head coach’s role to Ravi Shastri and he is also glad to have received a coaching job with a team of IPL. However, the decision by the Indian coach will only be taken after the end of the T20 World Cup and meanwhile, he does not want any distractions during the ongoing tournament. If Ravi Shastri accepts the offer given to him then the other two coaches, that is, Bharat Arun and R Sridhar will become a part of his staff.
The IPL will become a 10-team affair from the 2022 season after the addition of the two new teams – Lucknow Ahmedabad. The Lucknow franchise is bought by the RPSG group of Sanjiv Goenka worth 7090 crore rupees. And the CVC Capitals were allotted the Ahmedabad team for an amount of Rs. 5625 crore. Ahead of the new season, the famous league (IPL) will be having a mega auction. The existing teams will only be allowed to have a maximum of four players while the new teams will have the opportunity of picking three players from outside the auction pool.
