The movie is based on a true story that happened in Tamil Nādu in the mid-1990s, which is getting unstoppable praise equally by the audience and critics. Suriya also told PTI in an interview that the movie is going to prove inspiring for many to have a critical perspective on things before giving judgements. And then an advocate (role played by Suriya) works to unearth the truth and fights odds to get justice to the wife of tribe-man.
