After the bang of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is back at the box office after a long gap with the new movie Jersey. The movie is based on an ex-cricketer who wants a second chance to prove himself to his son. The movie is a remake of Telegu movie with the same name released in 2019, which was a national award winner. It also features Mrunal Raj and Pankaj Kapoor in important roles. The movie was most discussed since the drop of the first look. As soon as the trailer was released, excited fans took Twitter on the roar.

The trailer starts with the introduction of Shahid’s character Arjun, who was a former cricketer and now financially dependent on his wife. He is in dire need of some money to gift a jersey to his son Kittu. He tries to arrange the money but ends up stealing from his wife’s wallet. He gets caught and gets slapped with a confrontation from her. This stirs up some Kabir Singh vibes in the trailer. Further in the trailer, he is offered a job by the coach of the cricket team but he is hesitant to take up the offer.

The movie is set to release on December 31, 2021.
