Recently Facebook has undergone a major rebranding. This major step resulted in the change of Mark Zuckerberg’s parent company’s name from Facebook to Meta. However, it was reported that the various services of Facebook like Whatsapp, Instagram, etc., won’t have their names changed. Recently, Facebook, or now known as Meta, is being trolled by a Berlin-based migraine app.
In a slick manner, M-sense Migrane took a light-hearted jab at Meta and Mark Zuckerberg for the logo’s close resemblance to their logo. M-sense Migrane is a Berlin-based app developed by Newsenselab in February 2016. It provides digital treatment programs to people suffering from migraine and headaches. Now coming back to the point, many people have rightly observed a heavy resemblance of both the logos.
In such a case, Meta could have also been dragged into a legal battle. However, fortunately for Zuckerberg, this seems highly unlikely. M-sense is seemingly indulging in what seems to be playful trolling. It made a series of tweets exhibiting its troll game at the expense of Meta.
Will the Change in the Name Prove for More Opportunities for Facebook?
One of the tweets read, “We are very honoured that @facebook felt inspired by the logo of our migraine app – maybe they’ll get inspired by our data privacy procedures as well”. However, that’s not all. Another tweet that followed this trolled Meta and Zuckerberg and advertised M-sense: “We’ve been told this rebrand to @meta is causing Mr Zuckerberg a big migraine- we can help! Just download our app.”
Not only M-sense Migrane, but other people and companies have been trolling this name and logo change as well. However, the trolling of Meta by this Berlin-based app was bound to make waves on social media. After all, this is the company that seems to have inspired Zuckerberg to design this new logo.
