Tourists will soon be allowed to live in a treehouse when they are in Uttarakhand and enjoy the experience conveniently. As per the news, the Uttarakhand forest department is all set to open up a treehouse for travelers in the Fato area which is in the Terai west forest division near Ramnagar situated in Nainital from the early following year. About this, the officers stated that this would be the first-ever treehouse in the area that will be opened for visitors. The officials also said that the said idea encourages sustainable habitation without resulting in harm or damage to biological surroundings. Disclosing more about this project, Balwant Shahi who is a divisional forest official, Terai West forest division, added that as the structure of the Treehouses has been erected in the biodiversity-rich Terai west forest division, tourists will get to appreciate sightings of tigers, elephants, and deer while relaxing in the convenience of their cabins in the treehouse. He additionally notified that the price per night for reserving the treehouse would be around INR 10000 to 15000.

The official also said that more such treehouses will be built up in the wildernesses of Uttarakhand. Reportedly, a 40-feet-high structure will be unlocking its doors for tourists from the following month, which has been assembled with Sal and teak wood and has two bedrooms and a bathroom. Moreover, the forest department will also possibly commence a jungle safari in the Fato range around Christmas to attract tourists. Officials in the know-how notified that this effort will deliver job opportunities to local youth. These efforts will also help in growing the tourism industry and promote regional and local culture and diversity of Uttarakhand.
