Education technology has been rapidly increasing in significance since the early 2010s, but now, because to Covid-19, it is a must. On Friday, Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad tweeted that the state has established an education technology forum to enable the exchange of ideas on how instruction technology might be utilised to improve school education.

The Maharashtra Education Technology Forum, which will function as a policy think tank for school education, would be founded by experts from the information and technology industry. Senior leaders from Google India, Microsoft India, Cognizant, Persistent, Dell, Amazon, and C-DAC, among others, will speak at this event. “I look forward to examining the future of education with them,” the education minister added.
Maharashtra has become the first state to establish an education technology forum to discuss methods to improve school instruction via the use of EdTech.The forum would bring together specialists from the information and technology industries to act as a policy think tank for school education. According to the minister, this would be an “independent evidence-based advice framework on technology-based initiatives in school education.”
According to the education minister’s announcement, prominent leaders from Google India, Microsoft India, Cognizant, Persistent, Dell, Amazon, and C-DAC will attend the event. She stated that the presence of such professionals would ensure that feedback would come from the top tiers of the IT sector. Maharashtra’s education forum will serve as a think tank.
