Many countries are opening up their borders and reducing the travel restrictions imposed by them during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Philippines is among the many nations opening its gates and gradually letting foreign tourists enter their country. Recently, The Philippines revised its red, yellow, and green list which indicates countries that are and aren’t allowed to enter the country. The announcement came even as the country recorded its second-highest number of COVID-19 cases with 20,310 infections on Friday, pushing the national tally to 2.04 million, The Manila Times newspaper reported.

Around 45 new countries have been added to the green list. Countries that have been newly added to the green list are India, Oman, Japan, and Pakistan. Countries that already existed in the green list are the United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Toga, Zambia, Rwanda, Indonesia, Morocco, Bhutan, Chad, Marshall Islands, Taiwan, Sudan, South Africa, Mali, Paraguay, Pali, Kuwait, Guinea, Falkland Islands, Comoros, Hong Kong, and many more countries.
The green list indicates that the passengers traveling from the above countries would not be subjected to any facility-based quarantine. However, the passengers should monitor their health and take care of themselves for 14 days after landing in the country. The remaining countries which are not included in the green list are included in the yellow list. Latvia is the only country included in the Red List. Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has also authorized the suggestion of the Department of Foreign Affairs for national COVID-19 vaccination certifications of India, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Australia, Japan, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Samoa for arrival quarantine purposes.
