Sonu Sood started his career in 1999 by acting in two Tamil language films, Nenjinile and Kallazhagar. In 2000, he appeared as an antagonist in a Telugu film, Hands Up!. He appeared in Majnu in 2001. After that, he starred in Hindi movies, with Shaheed-E-Azad as Bhagat Singh in 2002. He earned great recognition in Ashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005 and as Abhishek Bachchan’s brother in You’ve by Mani Ratnam in 2004.
