The newlyweds, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar made their first appearance in public after their wedding today. The husband-duo was photographed in their outstanding pastel colour dress outside their Mumbai residence. The couple tied the knot on February 19 in Khandala.
Farhan and Shibani were seen in colour-coordinated traditional outfits as they posed for photos together. Farhan looked stunning in a silk kurta and jacket with a Sabyasachi ensemble. Shibani, on the other hand, did not leave any stone unturned to show every bit of her divine dress as a newlywed bride. She donned a powder pink Anamika Khanna’s custom-made saree and was accessorised with heavy diamond jewellery. She had her hair tied in a bun to add to her elegance.
After the photo shoot, the couple was seen distributing sweets to all the shutterbugs present at the venue. Farhan on Saturday took the lifetime vow with Shibani in an intimate ceremony attended by family and close friends in Khandala. The duo finally got hitched after dating for more than four years.
The wedding was attended by Farhan and Dandekar’s friends from the industry, including actors Hrithik Roshan, Saqib Saleem, Rhea Chakraborty, filmmaker Farah Khan, Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar, music composers Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa among others. This is Farhan’s second marriage. The actor and director were previously married to Adhuna Bhabani. The duo, who divorced each other after 16 years of marriage, have two daughters- Shakya and Akira.
