Iconix Lifestyle India Private Ltd, an equal joint venture between Reliance Brands Ltd. and Iconix Brand Group Inc., announced the acquisition of legendary British brand Lee Cooper’s IP rights in India for an undisclosed sum.
Lee Cooper, which was founded in 1908 and has a denim legacy, is now a global brand with a presence in 126 countries, 7000 places of sale, and over 2 million followers on social media. From humble origins in work-wear, their brand has grown to become a global style pioneer and the go-to denim for renowned British rock ‘n’ roll bands, says their website.
Today, the brand’s goods and collections are designed with denim in the foreground and fashion in the center. Lee Cooper presently offers clothing for men, women, and children, as well as footwear, bags, accessories, watches, swimwear, workwear, eyewear, fragrance, homeware, and personal gadgets.

This acquisition will help Lee Cooper enhance its presence by enabling the distribution of the brand across its retail channels while strengthening brand and marketing management.
