With the increasing cases of coronavirus, keeping in mind the safety of people, the Karnataka government issued new guidelines for short term travellers from Maharashtra coming for two days or less from any transport system. They will have to be free of any symptoms of covid-19, which comprises fever, cough, cold, throat pain, body ache, and difficulty in breathing. Thermal scanning for fever will be mandatory for the travellers from Maharashtra and they will be asked to show their full vaccination certificate for verification.
The statement released in the press said that the travellers will have to go through thermal scanning and will also have to represent their 2 doses certificate. It further stated anyone travelling from Maharashtra including Mumbai will need to wear face masks and follow the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) while they stay in Karnataka and Bengaluru. Only if the passengers can agree to the provided rules and regulations as issued by the government, then they may be freed from required RT-PCR negative test reports for short durations of travel.
Since Karnataka is a neighbouring state of Maharashtra, people are often travelling to the state for business purposes or for small get away from their own city.
