If you are thinking of planning a vacation to Singapore, then it’s important to know about the new COVID guidelines. This way you will be prepared before you move forth. With ease in the restrictions, the people no longer have to undergo the Covid test, if they are fully vaccinated. The anxiety of the pre-departure test has been eased with this decision. However, if you are not fully vaccinated, then you have to undergo a pre-departure test within 48 hours. Moreover, the 7 days quarantine rule will also be applicable to them.
According to the Ministry of Health, all long-term pass holders aged 13 or above have to be fully vaccinated before they enter the country. This criterion would be applicable from July 1, 2022, unlike the current rule according to which individuals aged between 13 to 17 can travel into Singapore even without being vaccinated.
As per the Ministry of Singapore, all the current changes along with Singapore’s safety measures will be eased a lot. However, wearing the masks indoors is an exception. Finance Minister Lawrence Wong said on Friday that the changes are a “very significant step forward” in Singapore’s journey to live with Covid. “The pandemic is certainly not over. A new variant will emerge sooner or later… No one can predict what this next variant will be. And if need be, we may very well have to tighten our restrictions,” said Wong.
Some of the places you can travel safely and with minimum physical contact. Gardens by the Bay, Jurong Bird Park, ArtScience Museum Singapore, Singapore Cable Car rides, Singapore Flyer, and SEA Aquarium, are some of the things you can plan for while visiting Singapore.
