Docprime Technologies, a totally owned subsidiary of PB Fintech, has launched Docprime Health Locker, India’s first health locker that is integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Docprime Technologies is a completely owned subsidiary of PB Fintech. It was launched in August 2020 as a Union Health Ministry initiative to develop an integrated digital health infrastructure, including digital health IDs for citizens as well as standardized health facilities and healthcare professional registries. It is also intended to serve as a federated personal health record system for sharing health data within the ecosystem as well as a repository for storing all of a user’s health records.
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission sandbox was built as a result, allowing healthcare players to test and interact with the mission. “We believe that, in the same way, that UPI and Aadhaar revolutionized payments and fintech in India, the creation of this robust public digital infrastructure by ABDM will fundamentally transform how healthcare is delivered,” said Yashish Dahiya, Chairman and CEO of PB Fintech, the parent company of Policybazaar and Paisabazaar. “Over the course of several months, the team has collaborated closely with ABDM to develop this solution.”

Docprime’s health locker, which is a free service, allows users to create digital health IDs for themselves and their family members, activate their ABDM integrated health locker, which allows them to securely upload, store, and manage all of their health records electronically, as well as share them with their doctors with their permission. Users can also retrieve and keep their Cowin immunization certificates using the application.
While initially only available in a few Union Territories, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on August 27 that the health locker would be made available across the country. It was on August 6 that Docprime Health Locker obtained permission from the ABDM Sandbox and went live, becoming India’s first ABDM integrated Health Locker.
