Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of the world’s largest social media platform, Facebook, has recently emphasized the role India will play in his next big tech dream. Speaking at the Fuel For India 2021 event, he said that India will be the largest community of AR developers by 2024. According to him, the Indian content developer community will play a pivotal role in turning his next tech dream come true. Zuckerberg is planning to create the metaverse that is potentially going to be the successor to mobile internet. According to the Facebook founder, the reason that is making India the center of such a technological dream is its developer community and a huge talent pool of engineers behind making this a reality.

Recently, Mark Zuckerburg had converted Facebook into Meta. This organization has now taken Facebook’s place as the parent company to Whatsapp, Instagram, and various others Facebook-owned apps. Meta is an attempt by Mark Zuckerberg to claim a stake in the rapidly growing Metaverse. To those who don’t know, Metaverse is the internet version of the universe. It is the 3-D augmented virtual universe on the internet.
Metaverse, in its theoretical sense, might be a new concept. However, it has already been successfully implemented in a few video games. The best part about Metaverse is that it provides you with a 3-D virtual environment. Some of the video games like ‘Second Life’ already come with such features. Metaverse is going big and Zuckerberg has already anticipated it, the reason being our ability to take a huge step forward to create our virtual reality.
