Poco is planning to launch its own gaming laptop in the Indian market soon. According to 91Mobile, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database has found a Poco device with the model number ‘G16B01W.’ This same model has been spotted on a replacement battery that was meant for the Redmi G laptop which is available in China. There has been a growing demand for gaming laptops in the last few years. Poco might try to offer a more affordable option in the market. This, in fact, has been the unique selling proposition (USP) of the brand.
This Xiaomi-owned sub-brand is looking to expand its hold on the Indian market. They also have plans to launch smartwatches and TWS earbuds in India next year. Xiaomi’s replacement battery unit which has the same model number as BIS has been rated at 3,620 mAh cell or 15.2 V, 55.02Wh. This can mean that the Poco laptop might be powered with a similar battery unit.
