Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi has initiated projects worth Rs 100 crores and on Monday rested the foundation rocks of undertakings worth Rs100 crore in Kharar and Morinda. He likewise declared a further Rs 10 crore for Morinda. Putting the foundation stone of an ITI, an indoor sports hall comprising an auditorium and a football field at Tripri village in Kharar at a collective expense of Rs 20 crore, the chief minister thanked Tipri village panchayat for allotting eight acres of land. He announced that the forthcoming ITI would facilitate youth in the region to sharpen their skills and that the indoor sports hall would provide sports like gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, and others, improving the sports infrastructure of Kharar, Morinda. These facilities will be very useful for children.

Prime Minister Channi also stated that the ITI building will be finalized by the end of January 2022 while the indoor sports hall will be assembled by August 2022. In Morinda, the chief minister laid the foundation gravel of water supply and sewerage, canal water supply, and other improvement projects for Rs 74.32 crore, besides the modern SDM office structure to be built upon two acres for a whopping expense of Rs 5 crore. The CM also stated that the water supply project would contribute clean water to the cities of Morinda and Kharar from Kajauli Water Works. Criticizing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Raghav Chaddha for spreading inaccurate gossip that four of his cabinet ministers might join AAP, he advised the party to desist from creating excessive hype. Chennai also explained how AAP only wants to heighten its nuisance value by including itself in deceiving and negative discussion but these ploys would backfire. Moreover, the chief minister passed cheques worth Rs 6.85 crore to 140 youth associations and welfare societies.
