The election fever is very high in India. With 3 elections coming up in the first quarter of the next year, Punjab will be the first stage to triumph. However, before that lies a humongous task of winning over the city of Chandigarh in the upcoming civic elections. While politicians are making promises to woo the voters, the AAP-head and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal have made one such attempt that seems to be working. In the heat of the competition to bag the most votes, the AAP supremo has recently made not one, but 5 promises to the Chandigarh public. The promises were quite simple yet highly effective. He promised that his government would eradicate corruption. On top of that, he also assured the public that he would also end the Dadumajra garbage dump, and will ensure free water supply to every household. To solidify the situation in his favor, he finally sealed the deal by promising to secure the city under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and ensuring regular visits by municipal corporation employees.

The power of 5 promises was such that the whole Chandigarh seemingly got wooed. Taking a swift jab at the Punjab-ruling Congress Party and the BJP, he accused them of turning the ‘City Beautiful’ dirty. Not only that, in an attempt to raise the stock of his party, he emphasized the fact that most of the people contesting the elections from AAP are young and below the age of 40. Apart from the Delhi CM, Punjab AAP President and MP Bhagwat Mann and Chandigarh co-in charge Deepak Chhabra were also addressing the gathering in Chandigarh.
