Two days after the Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone, the force compelled another drone, which was flying roughly 100 meters within Indian territory from the international border, to return to the airspace above the country. During the early hours of Monday morning near Kassowal BoP in the Gurdaspur sector, BSF men noticed a flying object and opened fire, causing the drone to retrace its course and return to Pakistan. Following this, the BSF conducted a search operation, but nothing was found as of the time of the filing of this report, which is the end of the investigation.
A statement from BSF deputy inspector general Gurdaspur sector Prabhakar Joshi revealed that BSF personnel had foiled an attempt to infiltrate. He stated that the police department was on high alert because of the dense fog cover. On Friday night, the Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a drone near Wan BoP in the Ferozpur sector. It was the first time a Pakistani drone has been shot down in the province of Punjab. During the same night, a suspected human infiltration attempt was halted in the BSF’s Chandu Wadala BoP in the Gurdaspur sector.
