Earlier back in 2016, a similar but vicious attack took place in the army airport of Pathankot. During this time 6 terrorists infiltrated the base and caused havoc. The local police are doing whatever they can to prevent the same incident from happening again. In the previous event, Hizbul Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the attack. However, this time around no terrorist organization has stepped forward to claim responsibility. The CID said they will look into the CCTV footage that captured bits and parts of the incident. This could play a big part in revealing the individual’s identity who tried committing a heinous crime. Furthermore, the investigation is carried through by following factual evidence and reasoning. According to Counterintelligence, no one has been arrested so far. However, they will carry on the investigation by probing the CCTV footage thoroughly.
