Who is Kevin Hart?
Kevin Hart is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and producer. He was born on 6th July 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His career began after he won several comedy competitions at clubs throughout New England after which he got his real break in 2001 when Judd Apatow cast him for a recurring role in a TV show named ‘Undeclared’.

Hart was raised by a single mother, Nancy Hart who was a systems analyst for the office of student registration and financial services at the University of Pennsylvania. Kevin’s father Henry Witherspoon was in and out of Jail throughout Kevin’s childhood as he was a cocaine addict. He has an elder brother named Robert. Kevin often uses humour to cope up with the messed up childhood he had.
He completed his schooling at George Washington High School and went to Community College of Philadelphia to get his degree but dropped out and moved to New York City before he could complete his college. After NYC he went to Brockton, Massachusetts where he took up a job as a shoe Maker. He paid more attention to his comedy when once he performed at a club in Philadelphia.

Kevin performed his first gig in The Laff House in Philadelphia under the name of Lil Kev, which did not go very well. His career took off very slowly. After a few of those flop shows, Hart entered numerous comedy competitions throughout Massachusetts and his performance eventually improved.

Family
Kevin’s relationship with his father improved after his father recovered from his addiction. He tells how his father says that he was supposed to be a drug addict so his son could learn from it and never do it.
He also talks about his mother and how she was caring yet intimidating. She died of cancer in 2007.
Marriages
Kevin and Torrie Hart filed a divorce back in 2011 citing irreconcilable differences. Kevin asked for joint custody of their children- Heaven Leigh, born on March 22, 2005 and Hendrix born on October 8, 2007. The divorce was finalized in November 2011.
Kevin proposed to his girlfriend Eniko Parish on August 18, 2014. The two got married on August 13, 2016, near Santa Barbara, California.

Legal Issues
On April 14, 2013, Hart was charged on suspicion of drunk driving when his black Mercedes almost collided with a tanker truck on a Southern California freeway. He failed to prove that he was not drunk and was booked for misdemeanour DUI. He was then sentenced to 3 years of probation on August 5, 2013.
Car Accident
Hart was a passenger in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when it went off the Mulholland Highway and went down an embankment near Calabasas, California on September 1, 2019. He and the driver suffered major back injuries and were taken to different hospitals. After 10 days Hart was released from the hospital and he continued his recovery at a rehabilitation facility.
