Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh took a jab at Congress leader Harish Rawat’s “hands being tied” tweet previously of Uttarakhand polls. Rawat was the Punjab affairs in-charge of the Congress in September when Amarinder Singh stepped down as Punjab chief minister. Rawat, who is seen as the crucial face of the Congress’ Congress poll campaign in Uttarakhand had on Wednesday claimed non-cooperation from his association. On Twitter, Singh responded to a succession of Rawat’s tweets and tweeted, “You reap what you sow! All the best for your future endeavors (if there are any) Harish Rawat Ji.”The former Punjab CM had in November written in a letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi denouncing Rawat stating him as “perhaps the most dubious individual” he had to make familiarity with.

Harish Rawat published a series of tweets on Wednesday, had conveyed anguish at the factionalism in the state unit, and reported that thought has been on his mind that “it is time to rest”. Rawat tweeted, “Isn’t it strange, one has to swim in the sea in the form of the upcoming electoral battle, rather than cooperate, the organizational structure at most places is turning its face away or is playing a negative role.” He also added, “There are many crocodiles of the ruling dispensation. On whose directions one has to swim, their candidates are tying my hands and feet.” Rawat also referred to lines of the Gita, and asserted, “And then quietly in a corner of the mind, a voice is erupting, ‘na Dena, na pala name (one who does not bow or flee). Possibly the new year will indicate the way. I have a belief that Lord Kedarnath will deliver me with guidance in this situation.
