The foreign minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that while Afghanistan is battling the difficult situation, Pakistan will continue with its efforts to promote economic help to the residences of the country. Pakistan has assured the Taliban regime in Afghanistan that it would strengthen bilateral ties with Kabul.
Anadolu Agency reported that Shah Mahmood Qureshi during his meeting with the Acting Afghan Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, said his country (Pakistan) will continue their efforts to help Afghanistan resolve its humanitarian crisis.
The Foreign Ministry recently issued a statement that said Qureshi spoke about his country’s commitment to harmony and stability in Afghanistan, and thus they will continue with its efforts to facilitate generous assistance and financial support to the country during the difficult situations faced by the people.
The statement went by: “Foreign Minister Qureshi reassured Pakistan’s resolve to strengthen their relations with Afghanistan and also intensified that peace in Afghanistan will only help to strengthen stability for everyone and motivate economic connectivity”.

Islamabad had also offered technical help in various areas to the new government of Afghanistan. The two sides also decided to continue their discussions for cooperation in other sectors.
Muttaqi arrived in Islamabad for his first visit along with a high-level committee where he also met with officials from Russia, China, and the US special representative for Afghanistan on the side-lines of the “Troika Plus meeting” that was held on Thursday in Islamabad.
Muttaqi showed his gratitude by thanking Pakistan for the continuous support and help and for its efforts towards peace and working for his country. He further thanked Islamabad for hosting millions of refugees from Afghanistan over around four decades and promised of extending their hands and strengthen ties between his country and Pakistan.
