Following intelligence indications indicating Pakistan is making a new push to deploy terrorists into India, security personnel along the India-Pakistan border are on high alert. Following the explosion at the Ludhiana court complex on Thursday, which killed one person and injured six others, the state police head office warned its officers that the blast could have been caused by an IED. According to the communication, it points to a “terrorist attack,” though the blast investigation is still in its early stages.
Following the massacre of civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, officials from the Intelligence Bureau tell OneIndia that the ISI has urged terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad to begin infiltrating additional terrorists into India to attack security forces. Officials also stated that while the ISI intends to escalate the ante, the Indian security forces are on high alert and ready to foil the plans. There are fortified barricades and bunkers, and security is strict at the entry and exit points. In addition, the CRPF and BSF have increased patrolling to ward off any threat from ISI-backed forces. As a result of this recent intelligence, security at and around high-profile defense establishments has been reinforced. The security forces are also on high alert to prevent any assaults by Pakistani-operated drones, which have become a security nightmare in recent years.
